Tarascon shares with other provençal towns a capacity for enjoyment which is particularly rich here. Folklore, bullfighting and equestrian traditions mingle, from both the Camargue and Provence. No fêtes can take place in the Tarascon area without bulls being involved, ferrades, abrivados, Camargue bullfights follow the traditional folk dancing and the music of the penas.

On summer evenings, on the terraces of the cafés or the bodegas, the crowd forgets the heat of the sun thanks to a cool aniseed based drink. The ambiance of Christmas is more intimate in Provence. Traditional meals with the “13 desserts” on colourful tables, midnight masses which you attend in a group to see the crèche and the pastrage (the offering of the lamb).
In Tarascon, there is something happening all year long. From january to December, every month, there are exhibitions, traditional events, fairs and markets which rhythm the life of our town. Find our main events.
